Deer Processing Made Simple
The Center for Rural Culture and Nadolski’s Butcher Shop are pleased to announce that they will be hosting an educational class on maximizing the amount of meat you get from your hunt.
The workshop will demonstrate how to effectively and safely butcher a deer in order to obtain the most meat possible. Additionally, participants will also learn how to safely handle and package their meat.
The “Deer Processing Made Simple" workshop will be offered twice and each class will be limited to 12 participants. The first class will be held on Thursday, November 10th from 7:00 – 9:00 pm. The second class will held on Saturday, November 12th from 3:30-5:30. Both workshops will be held at Nadolski’s Butcher Shop located in the Goochland Courthouse at 2913 River Road West. The cost is $25. All processed meat will be donated to the local food pantry.
